The new boys on the block JLS have been honoured with the
‘Outstanding Artist’ prize at the BBC Switch Live awards. Last year's X
Factor runners-up JLS beat off strong competition from Florence and
Machine, Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder to take the price.
With the launch of their debut album and their second single going
straight to number one and now the BBC Switch price, there are a few
things for JLS to celebrate this week. On the back of these
achievements, and their recent Mobo success, it would be no surprise to
see their album at number one in this weekend's album charts.
