Leon Jackson from Whitburn in Scotland worked as a
sales assistant with GAP before pursuing his music career. His musical
influence is mainly Contemporary Jazz and Pop. His music idol is
Michael Buble who he had the opportunity to meet while on The X Factor
television show.
Leon came to fame when he entered the X Factor fourth series in 2007.
He eventually won the show beating bookies favourite Rhydian Roberts in
second place. After winning, Leon hit the top of the UK charts with his
debut single ‘When You Believe’ claiming both the Christmas No. 1 and
the title for the fastest selling single of 2007.
Following his victory, Leon was taken to the United States by Simon
Cowell where he worked with top producers and songwriters such as Steve
Robson and Peter Gordeno to create his debut album.
