David won the first series of Fame Academy, despite being drafted in at the last minute to replace an ill student who was sent home. In 2003 David decided to turn his back on his pop career to concentrate on song writing.

Lemar

Finalist Fame Academy 2002

Lemar finished the competition in third place, but it was clear quite early on that he did not have to win to guarantee commercial success. During the show he performed a duet with Lionel Richie, who predicted at the time that Lemar would be a great success.

Alex was eighteen when she won the BBC Fame Academy reality TV show in 2003. The student from Cornwell released her first album shortly after winning the show and has since been focusing on song writing.
