Shayne Ward is the winner of the second series of the UK TV
talent show The X Factor. After winning the competition, Shayne was
signed by Sony BMG and his first single That’s My Goal , topped the UK
charts in December 2005. It became the fourth fastest selling single in
the UK of all times. His debut album titled Shayne Ward was also a big
success topping the charts in the UK and a number of other countries
around the world.
During The X Factor competition, Shayne was mentored by manager Louis
Walsh. Shayne was also the Bookie's favourite to win the show but he
only narrowly defeated duo Journey
South and singer Andy Abraham in the final.
Shayne's second album Breathless reached number two in the UK charts.
It was kept of the top spot by Leona Lewis debut album Spirit.
