Biography

Will was the winner of the first series of Pop Idol, beating the series favourite Gareth Gates by a narrow margin. He became noticed following an argument with Simon Cowell who criticised one of his performances.

Since leaving the show, Will has had phenomenal chart success with his first two albums reaching number one in the UK charts and the third album reaching number two. In recent years Will has embarked upon an acting career performing roles in both theatre and screen.

Will studied politics at university but his musical passion grew while studying musical theatre at the Arts Educational School in Chiswick. His first hit single ‘Evergreen’, which was a double A-side with ‘Anything Is Possible’, was first recorded by Westlife. The song appears on their album ‘World of Our Own’, and was released as a single, only in the Philippines where it reached number 3 in the charts.
