Dannii Minogue
Danni Minogue is an Australian actress and singer who rose to
fame during the 1980s in Australia. She started her career as an
actress with roles in various television series including Home and
Away. Dannii began a career as a singer after taking part in
the Australian television talent show Young Talent Time. Most of her
chart success came in the 1990s but in 2001 she re-launched her music
career as a dance music act with hits like ‘All I want to do’ and ‘Who
Do You Love Now’.
In recent years she has made her mark in reality television as a judge
in popular TV shows The X Factor in the UK and Australia’s Got Talent
in
Australia.
For all her efforts in the music industry, Dannii never made it as big
as her world famous sister Kylie. This year Danni selected Kylie as her
assistant to help choose the top three girls to go through to The X
Factor live finals.

Kylie is affectionately know the world over as the pop princess. She has a place in the hearts of millions as the beautiful and sweet girl next door as a result of her role in the television series Neighbours. After leaving Neighbours in the late eighties, Kylie embarked on a very successful music career, releasing hit singles like ‘I Should Be So Lucky’ and ‘Can’t get You Out of My Head’. In 2005 Kylie was diagnosed with Breast cancer. It is therefore particularly pleasing to see her on The X Factor looking fantastic.

This year Dannii setup her X Factor home in the very glitzy Atlantis resort, on the artificial Palm Jumeirah Island in Dubai. The resort opened in September 2008 and The X Factor must have given it the best advert it could ever hoped for since opening its doors. Holiday bookings to Dubai must have rocketed since The X Factor was aired. Perhaps Dannii or ITV did not have to pay a penny for staying there. Well at the very least, the contestants would have had the holiday of a lifetime for free.
