Louis Walsh for reasons know only to the
producers,
is
mentoring The X Factor Groups. The other judges, Simon
Cowell, Danni Minogue and Cheryl Cole, found it highly amusing given
the standard of the groups this year and the fact that Louis mentored
the groups last year also.
Louis has had a very distinguish career in the world of popular music.
He is the man behind many successful pop acts over the years, the best
known being Westlife, Boyzone, Shayne Ward and Girls Aloud.
Louis made a name for himself when he persuaded the singer Johnny Logan
to enter the Eurovision song contest in 1980. Johnny went on to win the
contest that year, sold over half a million albums and was number one
in ten countries in Europe.
Louis Walsh started his television career in Ireland when he became a
judge on the Irish version of Popstars. The show was a big hit and made
Louis a household name in both the UK and Ireland.
This year Louis selected singer Ronan Keating as his assistant to
select the best three acts to go forward to the X Factor live finals
from the six groups hoping to be crowned winner The X Factor 2009.

Ronan Keating became famous as a member of the boy band
Boyzone. He joined the band after being spotted by Louis Walsh at the
age of 17. Following many successful years with Boyzone he
later
co-managed the boy band Westlife with Louis before embarking on a solo
career.
Ronan recorded his debut solo album in 2000 working with artist such as
Bryan Adams and Barry Gibb. Since then he has had a very successful
solo
career in the UK, Ireland and across continental Europe.
I think this year‘s glamorous houses must make the contestant want more than ever to win The X Factor. Picturing themselves in a position to be able to buy or rent one of these homes as got to be motivation to give their all in this season’s competition. For me, Louis Walsh rented holiday Villa at Lake Como in Italy was the best of a fine bunch. With period features and stunning views, it’s the kind of stuff dreams are made off. Is this enough to make the groups want to hit the right notes on the live shows on Saturday nights? I guess we will find out.
